The Bont Vaypor Knit takes Bont’s race-focused Vaypor platform and adds an advanced Dyneema® knit upper for improved comfort, ventilation and adaptive foot support without sacrificing stiffness or pedalling efficiency.

Built around the same hand-laid unidirectional Toray carbon fibre base as the Vaypor SL, the Vaypor Knit delivers exceptional power transfer with an ultra-low 3.6 mm stack height for a direct, stable connection to the pedal. The adaptive Dyneema knit forefoot conforms naturally to the foot while maintaining secure support under high load, making the shoe particularly well suited to riders who want race-level performance with a less restrictive upper.

A dual-dial BOA® Li2 Fit System provides independent zonal adjustment, allowing precise tension across the foot while maintaining strong heel retention. The open-knit construction also significantly improves airflow, making the Vaypor Knit an excellent option for hard efforts and warm-weather riding.

At approximately 195 g per shoe in size 42, it is the lightest Vaypor model to date. Standard and Wide fit options are available to suit a broader range of foot shapes.

Fit & Construction

The Vaypor Knit uses Bont’s anatomically shaped carbon chassis with a lower-profile design intended to provide secure support while accommodating a wider variety of foot shapes. Unlike some previous Bont models, the Vaypor Knit is not heat mouldable, so the fit should feel correct from the moment the shoe is tried on.

The Dyneema knit upper is designed to combine low weight, high tensile strength and minimal stretch with a more adaptable feel around the forefoot. Combined with the structured carbon base and BOA closure system, this creates a shoe that feels secure under hard pedalling while remaining comfortable over longer rides.

Cleat Compatibility

Compatible with standard 3-bolt road pedal systems including Shimano SPD-SL, Look Keo and similar road cleat systems.
